At Sentieri, agriculture is also a form of imagination.
Our small-batch wine and single-varietal extra virgin olive oil are expressions of place — guided by hand management, minimal intervention, and a deep respect for the cycles of the land.
Every decision, from canopy care to soil health, is made with long-term balance in mind.
Olive Oil
Typical of the Vestina hills of Loreto Aprutino, Dritta is a traditional Abruzzese cultivar with deep local roots.
Our trees – many over 100 years old – are tended with low-input, artisan care, respecting the ancient tradition of this land.
We harvest by hand, mill the olives within hours of picking, and bottle small batches to protect the fresh aromas of Dritta. Our oil is characterised by the taste of our hills: crisp green bitterness, a round character and a lingering peppery finish on the back palate
— a balance of vitality and calm.
Wine
We believe that wine is made in the field long before it even reaches the cellar. We cultivate Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, a grape that feels inseparable from the hills that surround Loreto Aprutino. Its roots reach into heavy clay, drawing out strength and depth that reflect this environment.
The harvest is done by hand in two batches: an early harvest to preserve the fresh character of our Vino Rosato, while the second is completed at full maturity for our bold, balanced Vino Rosso.
In the cellar, we highlight the native yeasts present in our vineyard through a spontaneous fermentation and the grapes are simply pressed with minimal interference.
As a result, our wine is a living expression of the year that shaped it: the life of the soil, the balance of the vines, and the rhythm of the seasons.
